Our solution for water tank monitoring

The Water Tank Monitoring System provides owners with an affordable automated solution for managing their water demand and securing water supply for emergency uses.

Water Tank Monitoring System

Click above links for more details

The System provides information to occupiers on how much water is being used and the water levels in the tank(s). It can be remotely monitored to support sites where there is no on-site occupancy.

In a simple installation say, a residential dwelling with no external data transmission requirement) the System would include a Tank Sensor, Apparatus Controller and Control Panel.

For a remotely monitored site a Modem would be added to enable data transmission. The data is collected in the Central Data Repository and reported so that any action required can be followed-up.

What does it do?

The integrated system will:

  • Monitor and record when pre-determined water levels are reached
  • Initiate an Alarm Condition to alert the householder or external resource manager
  • Indicate actual water usage for any given period of time
  • Provides information for replenishment of supply by water carriers

Benefits

  • Allows consumers to efficiently manage their water demand needs
  • Manages the risk of water theft/loss at absentee sites where water supply is required for emergency supply
  • Suitable for both new and existing water tank installations

Control Panel

The Control Panel receives and stores data received from the Water Tank Sensor or Apparatus Controller depending on the installation environment.

In a domestic installation the Control Panel also has an important job to inform the householder on the water levels via inquiry and Alarm Events. The red light on the Control Panel will display the Alarm and water level.

Modem

Rodger

The Modem is used for remotely monitored sites to transmit the collected data saved in the Control Panel Event Log to the Central Data Repository (CDR). Also the CDR can request the Control Panel to collect and send waterlevel data.

Tank Sensor

Jason

The Tank Sensor collects pressure readings within the water tank and sends the data to the Control Panel via the Apparatus Controller (if installed).

These pressure readings are converted to determine water levels.

Apparatus Controller

The Apparatus Controller is used where there is multiple water tanks are to be monitored. It controls when the Tank Sensor takes readings. It sends the collected data to the Control Panel for recording in the Data Log.

The Apparatus Controller can be either hard wired to the Control Panel or use RF communication.

Central Data Repository & Management System

Central Data Repository

The Central Data Repository contains the property location, owner information and details of the water tanks being monitored for Clients. It also records the data sent to it from the
on-site monitoring devices.

The management system is a Web based application that provides clients with the option to manage their own water tank installations or contract out the responsibility for monitoring
and maintenance.

In any event access to check water levels is available together with management reporting.
